Hello, I'm Carol, the creator and maker behind Cherish By Carol.
I started making wedding dresses & bridesmaids at 18, which l did for 9 years before l had my first daughter, then had my second daughter a few years later.
I continued to keep sewing alongside other jobs & then started to do alterations to prom dresses in 2018,
When my dad passed, I wanted to make something for my mum as they had been together for 50 years, I didn’t like the choices around, or they were too far away, so l researched & completed my first bear, it was emotional, but when l brought him round to mum, she said “he’s home”.
I liked being able to make a positive out of a negative feeling, then l started doing animals & birth bears,
When my mum passed & joined dad, the bear l had made for her was sat near her coffin, which actually gave me a focus to get through the service, so dad helped her onto her next journey, back with him!
